HBO renewed REAL TIME WITH BILL MAHER for two additional seasons, keeping the series on the air through 2028. The show’s 24th season will premiere Friday, January 23 (10:00–11:00 p.m. ET/PT) on HBO and will also be available to stream on HBO Max.
The long-running series will continue to blend several engaging elements because it will include a sharp opening monologue hosted by Bill Maher. In-depth one-on-one interviews will take place. There will also be lively roundtable discussions. The series features its signature closer, “New Rules”.
The multi-season renewal highlights the show’s continued audience growth. It also emphasizes its ongoing cultural relevance in the political and social conversation.

Maher’s relationship with HBO stretches back decades as he headlined his first HBO special in 1989. Since then, he has starred in 13 solo specials for the network. His latest special is “Bill Maher: Is Anyone Else Seeing This?”. He has earned a Golden Globe® nomination, underlining his continued impact as a comedian and commentator.
The production of Real Time With Bill Maher is executive produced by Bill Maher, Sheila Griffiths, Dean Johnsen, Billy Martin, and Marc Gurvitz. Chris Kelly serves as co-executive producer. Matt Wood is the producer, and Paul Casey is the director.
REAL TIME WITH BILL MAHER will premiere Friday, January 23 (10:00–11:00 p.m. ET/PT) on HBO.
