Prime Video just announced a new original series Fear which is a gripping three-part psychological thriller. A story about a family pushed to their absolute limits.

Casting

The casting includes Martin Compston (The Rig, Line of Duty) who stars in the serie; Anjli Mohindra (Vigil, The Lazarus Project) also appears; Solly McLeod (Tom Jones, The Dead Don’t Hurt) is featured in the show; BAFTA-winning James Cosmo (Game of Thrones) makes an appearance too; Maureen Beattie (Deadwater Fell) is in the series; Daniel Portman (Black Mirror) features as well; Anneika Rose (Line of Duty) joins the cast, and Bhav Joshi (The Diplomat) is included.

Synopsis: A New Start Turns Dark

Martyn (Martin Compston) and Rebecca (Anjli Mohindra) seek a fresh beginning away from London. They move with their two young children into what appears to be an idyllic home in Glasgow.

However, their newfound peace is shattered, meanwhile, unsettling comments from their neighbor Jan (Solly McLeod) spark a chilling chain of events.

Faced with accusations that haunt every parent’s worst fears, Martyn and Rebecca find themselves isolated. The authorities are unwilling or unable to help. They are desperate for answers.

Creative Team and Production

Moreover, Wild Mercury (a Banijay UK company) and Capricorn Productions produce Fear. Mick Ford (After the Flood, The Stranger) writes it. The series is based on the novel by Dirk Kurbjuweit.

The series is directed by Justin Chadwick (Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom). Executive produced by Derek Wax, Frances Flannery, Suzanne Reid, Mick Ford, and Justin Chadwick. The producer is Matt Brown. The production received support from Screen Scotland through its Broadcast Content Fund, while Banijay Rights handles international distribution.

Anticipation and Release

Fear is set to premiere exclusively on Prime Video in the UK and Ireland in 2025. The series will also debut at the Glasgow Film Festival. It will include screenings and panel discussions. These will feature selected cast and crew members.
