Chrishell Stause is known for Selling Sunset, All My Children, and Days of Our Lives. She will guest star in the iconic Australian soap opera Neighbours. Amazon Freevee, and Fremantle have made the announcement.
Stause is scheduled to begin filming in Australia in July 2024.
Who is Stause?
Stause will portray Yasmine “Yas” Shields, a glamorous and successful businesswoman seeking an exciting new opportunity.
Stause says: “I am honored and thrilled to join such a beloved and iconic show”, She continues, “Coming from U.S. soaps, it’s a return to my first love in entertainment. They pitched me the character, and I was immediately excited. Ramsay Street, here I come!”
At the same time, Neighbours recently received two Daytime Emmy nominations as one nomination is for Outstanding Drama Series. This marks the show’s first recognition in the U.S. Jason Herbison, Executive Producer, remarked, “We’re excited to welcome Chrishell and created a character just for her. Expect intrigue, surprises, and plenty of drama for Ramsay Street residents.”
Her career
Stause’s diverse career includes Daytime Emmy-nominated roles appearing in Netflix and Lifetime productions‘s shows.
Her accolades include awards such as MTV’s Best Reality Star. She has also received recognition by Variety and Us Weekly.
She is an advocate for LGBTQIA+ rights, married Australian musician G Flip in 2022.
Moreover, Neighbours follows the lives and loves of residents in Erinsborough, and it is a fictional Melbourne suburb. The show airs Monday to Thursday on Amazon Freevee in the UK and U.S., and on Prime Video in Canada, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand.
