Netflix today announced a significant cast update. Winona Ryder (Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Stranger Things) has joined the project. Chris Sarandon (Dog Day Afternoon, The Princess Bride) is also part of the team. Noah Taylor (Peaky Blinders, Game of Thrones) enhances the lineup. Oscar Morgan (A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Gotham Knights) brings his talent. Kennedy Moyer (Task, Roofman) adds to the strength. Others have also joined the ensemble. Production on the third season of Netflix’s most-viewed series of all time is getting underway near Dublin, Ireland.

They join previously announced Eva Green (Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, Dark Shadows). She will play Morticia Addams’ sister Ophelia. Returning stars include Jenna Ortega (Wednesday Addams), Catherine Zeta‑Jones (Morticia Addams), Luis Guzmán (Gomez Addams), and more fan‑favourite cast members.

Creators Al Gough & Miles Millar tease new secrets at Nevermore

Series creators, showrunners and executive producers Al Gough & Miles Millar said:

“It’s our dark delight to fling open Nevermore Academy’s gates once more as we begin production on Season Three. We thank our invincible cast and crew for their continued commitment to doom and gloom. To the fans, we appreciate your patience and ravenous online commentary – your twisted theories have inspired nightmares. This season we welcome new students, new teachers, and excavate some long‑rotting Addams Family secrets. Don’t say you weren’t warned.”

Tim Burton on returning and reuniting with longtime collaborators

Executive producer and director Tim Burton added:

“I’m so excited to be back for Season 3 and it’s great to be reunited with all of the original cast. The addition of some dear friends and past collaborators of mine – Winona, Eva, Chris, Noah…makes this season extra special. I feel very lucky.”

A record-breaking global hit

Season 2 of Wednesday debuted last year. It quickly became the #5 most‑watched English‑language series of all time on Netflix. This followed the record‑breaking success of Season 1. The first season of the Tim Burton–directed Addams Family spin‑off remains Netflix’s most‑watched English‑language series ever. People have viewed it for hundreds of millions of hours worldwide.
