Louis Theroux’s first feature-length documentary for Netflix takes viewers deep inside the Manosphere. This is one of the most polarising corners of the internet.
In this 90-minute film, Louis travels to Miami, New York, and Marbella. He meets a network of influencers. These content creators sit at the extreme end of this online community.
Throughout the documentary, he explores the impact of their influence. It reshapes young men’s ideas about masculinity. It also fuels a resurgent global men’s rights movement.
Exploring a New Masculinity
The film follows key figures. These include Harrison Sullivan (AKA HS Tikky Tokky) and Myron Gaines. Nicolas Kenn De Balinthazy (AKA Sneako) is also featured. The film highlights Justin Waller and Ed Matthews as well. Their content reaches millions of young men around the world.
Through interviews and candid access, Louis investigates these voices and he spends time in their day-to-day environments. He seeks to understand how they frame success. He explores status, relationships, and gender roles for a new generation.
The documentary asks how this digital ecosystem has grown so rapidly. It also questions why its messages resonate so strongly with young audiences today.

Immersed in the Manosphere
Louis immerses himself in the Manosphere’s ecosystem. He moves through podcasts, luxury lifestyle shoots, and live events, moreover, shares behind-the-scenes moments with its most prominent figures.
He listens as they promote their own interpretations of traditional gender roles. They discuss self-improvement and male identity. These ideas are often framed as an antidote to what they see as a “soft” or “weak” modern culture.
Louis also becomes familiar with the movement’s language. This includes terms such as “red-pilling.” He explores how ideas once confined to niche online forums have entered mainstream conversation.
Voices Around the Movement
The documentary does not only focus on the men at the centre of this world.
Louis also spends time with women in their lives. These include partners, collaborators, and supporters. They offer their own perspective on the movement’s values and its appeal.
The film invites viewers to question where the Manosphere sits in the broader cultural debate. It does this by juxtaposing these viewpoints about gender, power, and modern relationships.
