HBO Max, the global streaming service from Warner Bros. Discovery, has launched direct‑to‑consumer today in the UK and Ireland, completando il rollout europeo del servizio. For the first time, customers in these territories can access the best of Warner Bros. Discovery in one place on HBO Max: HBO, Warner Bros. Pictures and Television, DC Studios, New Line Cinema, Max Originals, Discovery content, and in the UK also TNT Sports.
A huge 2026 content lineup
From Harry Potter to Euphoria and House of the Dragon. 2026 is set to be HBO Max’s biggest year yet. Subscribers will be able to watch the highly anticipated eight‑episode first season of the new HBO Original Harry Potter series. This series is titled Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. It will premiere on Christmas 2026. Alongside this, viewers can enjoy The Pitt (Emmy®, Golden Globe® and Critics’ Choice‑winning Max Original). It is available for the first time in the UK and Ireland. Plus, there are new HBO Originals DTF St. Louis and Rooster.
For returning hits, the first episode of The Comeback season three is available from launch, with new episodes dropping in line with the US. The third season of Euphoria will arrive in April, followed later in the year by the third chapter of House of the Dragon.
Boxsets available on the service include iconic HBO Originals. Examples include Game of Thrones, Sex and the City, The Sopranos, The Wire, Girls, True Blood, Big Little Lies, Boardwalk Empire, Veep and Entourage. These are available alongside Warner Bros. Television classics Friends and The Big Bang Theory. Subscribers can also dive into complete seasons of The White Lotus, The Last of Us, Euphoria, House of the Dragon, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and IT: Welcome to Derry.
International originals, documentaries and unscripted programming
For the first time, HBO Original programming from around the world will be available in the UK and Ireland. The highlights feature the French series Privilèges, available from 27 March. There is also The Seduction, freely adapted from Dangerous Liaisons and starring Diane Kruger. The Mexican production Like Water for Chocolate is executive produced by Salma Hayek Pinault. Portobello is the first Italian original to launch on the service since its debut in Italy in January.
Unscripted titles* include HBO Original documentaries Mel Brooks: The 99 Year Old Man!, Murder in Glitterball City. They also feature Oscar®‑nominated Armed Only With a Camera: The Life and Death of Brent Renaud. In addition, there is A24’s late‑night series Neighbors and the Emmy®‑winning Max Original Conan O’Brien Must Go. From launch, all episodes of the new documentary series Boom Box: Beats and Betrayal will be available in the UK and Ireland.
On the film side, following a strong awards season for Warner Bros. Pictures, subscribers can stream multi‑award‑winning titles One Battle After Another and *Sinners (territorial availability may vary). The platform will also host complete The Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter film collections, both celebrating 25 years since the release of their first installments. Major recent box office hits like DC’s Superman and A Minecraft Movie ensure a broad family offering.
TNT Sports finds a streaming home on HBO Max in the UK
In the UK, HBO Max becomes the streaming home of TNT Sports, offering the full range of live sports content. Over the coming year, fans can stream exclusive matches from the Premier League, Emirates FA Cup, and Adobe Women’s FA Cup. They can also watch games from the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and UEFA Conference League. Fans will have access to every Gallagher Premiership Rugby match and Premiership Women’s Rugby. They can enjoy more than 1,000 live cycling broadcasts, including every stage of the Tour de France. Every match from the Australian Open and Roland‑Garros, as well as every MotoGP race, will be available. Additionally, fans can look forward to the World Snooker Tour, major winter sports events, and the build‑up to the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
Following the launch of HBO Max, TNT Sports will continue to be distributed via its existing partners in the UK and Ireland.

You can access it on selected smart TVs, mobile devices, tablets, and game consoles. It is accessible on PCs. You can also browse it at HBOMAX. Subscriptions can be paid with major providers including Visa, Mastercard, Amex and PayPal.
Originally launched in the United States in 2020, HBO Max has since expanded across Latin America, Europe and Asia. As of Q4 2025, Warner Bros. Discovery reported 131.6 million global streaming subscribers across its services.
