The Hidden Review has now watched the final season of Cobra Kai—Season 6. It has been a long journey. It is one worth revisiting one last time. Looking at all six seasons, you can see they naturally divide into three acts that tell a singular, unique story.

the origins

Few franchises like The Karate Kid and Cobra Kai offer twists that interlock perfectly. They continue and conclude a mission started by beloved characters in the ’80s.

Let’s start at the beginning: the first two seasons serve as the story’s setup. They introduce the present-day world after the original trilogy. The story shows where their characters are now. It explores their struggles, their victories, and their identities. Daniel Larusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) are from different worlds. They are connected through a rivalry that grows intense. This rivalry sparks conflicts that ripple through the teenagers involved. This tension remains at the heart of the series.

the middle two seasons

The middle two seasons mark the story’s midpoint, where old conflicts resurface alongside new characters, bringing fresh challenges. The arrival of new dojos and revelations create twists, but the characters grow closer while realizing they are stronger together, in particular, when the stakes culminate in the same tournament where everything began.

the final two seasons

The final two seasons deliver the resolution. Daniel and Johnny find peace and collaboration, with hidden past events unveiled to reveal their true selves. Moreover, the show’s core message shines through: despite multiple dojos, there is one true philosophy—karate as both a sport and life-changing discipline.

Over its run, Cobra Kai has expanded with new characters and conflicts while honoring its roots. Each character finds their own path to peace, bringing satisfying closure and universal hope.

The fight choreography is exceptional—kudos to the stunt team, actors, and crew for honoring the original series with fresh vision. Cinematography, directing, and production capture the spirit of the franchise beautifully, featuring original locations key to the series’ success.

Strong writing drives the story, and the cast’s performances bridge generations seamlessly. This perfect combo creates a lasting legacy. It’s rare for a show to have such an impact, so we salute Cobra Kai—a saga that never dies.

Congratulations to everyone involved for allowing fans to relive this dream once more. Now, we eagerly await the next chapter.
