Casting director Kim Taylor‑Coleman becomes president of the Academy Foundation Board as new officers are appointed to oversee the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, the Film Archive, the Margaret Herrick Library and global talent initiatives.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced the new Academy Foundation Board members and officers for the 2025–2026 term. The Foundation oversees the Academy’s educational, preservation and cultural programs, including the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, the Margaret Herrick Library, the Film Archive, the Academy Collection and a wide range of talent development initiatives that support emerging filmmakers around the world.
Structure of the Academy Foundation Board
The Academy Foundation Board is composed of 12 trustees, all of whom also serve on the Academy’s Board of Governors, ensuring close alignment between the Foundation’s mission and the Academy’s broader strategic goals.
For the 2025–2026 term, Kim Taylor‑Coleman, a veteran casting director, has been elected president of the Board, bringing decades of industry experience and a long‑standing commitment to finding and nurturing on‑screen talent into the Foundation’s leadership.
New officers for 2025–2026
Alongside Taylor‑Coleman, the Academy has appointed a team of officers representing multiple branches of the film industry. The 2025–2026 Foundation Board officers are:

Brooke Breton (Visual Effects Branch) – Vice President
Isis Mussenden (Costume Designers Branch) – Vice President
Simon Kilmurry (Documentary Branch) – Treasurer
Marlon West (Animation Branch) – Secretary
This leadership group reflects the Foundation’s cross‑disciplinary approach, with representation from visual effects, costume design, documentary filmmaking, animation and casting, all areas deeply involved in both the creation and preservation of cinema.

The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, which curates exhibitions and public programs celebrating the art and history of cinema.
The Margaret Herrick Library, a world‑class research center preserving scripts, photographs, production documents and more.
The Film Archive and Academy Collection, which preserve films, artifacts and materials of historical importance.
Talent development initiatives, including grants, fellowships and educational programs that support diverse filmmakers and film professionals.

Terms of service and Museum Board roles
Members and officers of the Academy Foundation Board serve one‑year terms, which can be renewed in accordance with Academy governance rules. For the 2025–2026 term, Lynette Howell Taylor, Simon Kilmurry and Kim Taylor‑Coleman will also serve one‑year terms on the Academy Museum Board of Trustees, further strengthening the connection between the Foundation’s work and the strategic direction of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.
