BFI Player is excited to announce the exclusive premiere of George Clooney In Conversation, streaming from Tuesday, 2 December. Recorded live at BFI Southbank, this event marks the launch of a fresh season of In Conversation sessions, highlighting some of today’s most celebrated figures in cinema.
A rare opportunity to hear George Clooney reflect on his remarkable career
The live event held on 21 November at BFI Southbank, hosted by Edith Bowman, drew a full house eager to listen as actor and filmmaker George Clooney took audiences on a journey through his 45-year career. From indie gems like O Brother, Where Art Thou? to blockbusters such as Ocean’s Eleven, and award-winning titles including Good Night, and Good Luck and Gravity, Clooney shared candid insights on his work, politics and why he avoids social media.
He also offered a glimpse into his latest role in Jay Kelly, the new film by Noah Baumbach, in which he portrays an actor on a journey of self-reflection — mirroring the themes explored during the BFI conversation itself.
More exclusive conversations to follow
This premiere kicks off a series of exclusive In Conversation events that will be available only on BFI Player, extending the cultural experience of BFI Southbank to audiences across the UK. Upcoming guests include Amanda Seyfried discussing her career and her new film The Testament of Ann Lee; Will Arnett sharing stories behind his career and his work with Bradley Cooper on Is This Thing On?; and Brendan Fraser talking about his role in Rental Family. Dates for these premieres will be announced soon on bfi.org.uk and BFI Player’s channels.
