The Emmy®-winning Max Original comedy series HACKS returns for its fifth and final season. The first episode airs on Thursday, April 9 at 9:00 p.m. ET on HBO Max. There are ten episodes in the season. It will air weekly. Two new episodes will drop on April 30 and May 7. The series finale will be on Thursday, May 28.

Season 5 logline

Incorrect and deeply unflattering news reports announced her death. Legendary stand-up Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) and her longtime collaborator Ava (Hannah Einbinder) return to Las Vegas. Shaken but undeterred, they are more determined than ever. They want to cement Deborah’s legacy as a comedian. They confront ageism, reputation, and the brutal pace of show business. This promises to be their final, high-stakes act.
